And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
In my last blog entry I wrote When God Answers Prayer, and how it’s a blessing no matter what the answer is. Currently I am impressed to continue to write on that same theme but more about the blessings God has given us as an organization this previous year’s end.
There is no doubt that when we pray, God is listening. And when He answers, we are blessed. It’s not so uncommon to feel blessed when God affirms our prayers or gives us what we’ve asked. But consider how blessed we are when God doesn’t give us what we’ve asked, or tells us no, or makes us wait for an answer. The fact that our Creator of all we see would lend His ear to listen to our prayers and petitions– at all– is a blessing in itself. And even when He chooses not to move in the ways we’ve hoped He might, we can be confident in what He has promised: that He does all things for our good.
Still, there is a special joy that springs to life when our prayers meet His will. And that happened for International Aid this past December. For the first time in many years, we met our year-end goal because of our generous, and faithful donor-friends that support our mission to glorify Christ by providing medical equipment and healthcare resources to global partners that serve people in need. While we are excited in the goal being met, we are humbled and praise God for His providing hand. To Him be the glory for the lives that will be changed and the souls that will be saved.
We extend a H-U-G-E thank you to all of those who have given gifts, volunteered their time, who have prayed for us and shared our stories and mission with others. We can’t say, “Thank you,” enough as we continue the work that God has entrusted to us together. What a beautiful partnership that we have in you and in the Lord God through His son, Jesus! Truly, together we ARE doing a world of good!
