And the crowds asked him, “What then shall we do?” And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”
We’ve posted on our social networks, a couple of times, our thanks to Palermo Pizza for sponsoring our Hygiene Packing Kit events. Palermo provides our packing events with tasty pizzas each month. And so, I thought it would be appropriate to write about the importance of all of our sponsors and volunteers that partner with us in giving glory to Christ Jesus and aid our cause to improve healthcare around the world. The packing events are 40 participants—usually a church–who come to International Aid and assemble shampoo, soap, wash rag and a comb into a zip-lock bag; and then the zip-lock is placed in a draw-string shoulder-pack. The packs are then placed into cartons. Usually the events produce 2,100 hygiene kits.
Corporate sponsors are highly desired and greatly appreciated, whether the sponsorship is through donations of cash, medical equipment, healthcare products, food for events or volunteering one’s valuable time. We take responsibility with gift-in-kind donations to ensure that we will be able to use them within the scope of our mission and operations effectively before accepting them. Palermo’s has generously offered to provide pizzas at our kit events, so that those that participate do not have to worry about dinner before coming to the event. Likewise, International Aid doesn’t have to pay to feed 40 people.
Sponsorships benefit both the sponsor and International Aid. Corporate sponsorships attract the attention of other for-profit businesses because sponsorships offer public recognition of the business’ connection with our charitable cause, which may help the sponsor attract new customers and reinforce the company’s reputation due to their partnership in acts of good will.
I am always encouraged by those who take time to offer International Aid what they can that may be different than cash, and it proves to be quite useful. Sponsorships are another way of establishing good relationships that have mutual benefits.
Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for all of you who give to International Aid in the many ways that you do. It is amazing how God works and provides through His people as a community of brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
