Back to Haiti:
Thursday, December 1, 2011
Last August, we told you how Brian Barker, an International Aid biomedical technician, traveled to Haiti to conduct hospital assessments and repair broken medical equipment at multiple hospitals. Today, Brian is heading back to Haiti to continue his work in one of the hospitals he visited months ago. However, this time he isn’t focusing on machines—he’s focusing on the people.
All of us at International Aid are so excited that God has opened the door for Brian to train numerous employees at Bernard Mevs Hospital in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Before Brian went down to Haiti, there were no permanent biomedical technicians on staff. By the end of the trip, there will be multiple technicians at the hospital who will be able to maintain and repair the hospital’s equipment. This opportunity is particularly significant because Bernard Mevs is the home of Port-au-Prince’s only major trauma center.
Please pray for safety in travels and effectiveness in mission as Brian completes his work in Haiti!
