Eye Care Volunteer Opportunities

eyecare-volunteerOutreach brigades perform vision screenings in rural villages, evaluate risk of eye disease and determine the need for treatment or spectacles.

One-on-one mentoring and skills transfer has introduced many local eye care professionals to the latest techniques in eye care. At the same time, volunteer professionals are made aware of the enormous health challenges of the developing world. This is often a life-changing experience for both individuals.

Since 1987, IA and partner clinics have treated more than 600,000 people and performed over 25,000 sight-restoring surgeries in the poorest regions of the world. Millions of dollars worth of supplies, equipment and specialist services have also been provided while sharing the love of God.
