Last year many experienced extreme natural disasters.
Hurricanes swept homes away. Countless were affected by disaster after disaster and the accumulation of all this devastation has brought so much havoc… havoc that thousands are still recovering from.
Thankfully we have been able to respond to these disasters!
Many of you showed compassion as you sought to help and bring about real change for those affected. Busily packing hygiene kits, donating money for medical equipment and supplies, and praying for those affected were just some of the ways the community came together to bring aid to people in need.
Without you, last year would have been a season with little hope.
Hope may at times feel elusive.
After all, at many points last year the invading waters seemed to wash hope away.
But because of your contributions, we were able to help those in Texas, Florida, and the Caribbean region.
Your help brought hope to others.
As you may have heard from news reports, Puerto Rico was gravely affected by Hurricane Maria — the last of the hurricane disasters of 2017. International Aid is currently working with partners there to assess medical equipment needs. Identifying specific needs of Puerto Rico, after power has been established and some of the main roads have been repaired, enables us to better equip our partners on that beautiful island as we, together, help those in need. We are excited about the opportunity to provide and bless people with such hope.
The need is plentiful.
Because the need is so great, bringing aid to those impacted requires ongoing support. We would like to thank you, our supporters, for what you do in helping us help others.
Without your ongoing support we would not be able to impact so many different people. When every life matters, we recognize the value each of you brings to International Aid.
Whether you were the young child packing toothbrushes in hygiene kits, the one heading up the entire line of hygiene kits, or the person who gave financially or through prayer – THANK YOU.
Being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ comes through sacrifice, and we offer a heart-felt thank you for your sacrifice.
As we move into 2018 with many countries to serve, know you are highly valued and we are so very thankful.
Here’s to a new year!
