We can all likely remember hearing news of natural disasters–watched them take place on TV–seen the pictures in the newspaper of little children working in extreme poverty. We have all probably come in contact with a homeless person as we walk the streets of our cities. We have seen the effects of poverty in print and in the media. Sometimes it is overwhelming. Though it’s not what we want, it is so easy to sit back and watch the effects of sin on our world. Being the change we want to see can feel daunting. There is so much to do. Where can we even begin to help?
Since 2014 International Aid has been packing hygiene kits for those in need. Hundreds of participants have packed thousands of kits, enabling these kits to be distributed to nine different countries. This is bringing change to those who desperately need help.
These kits will help those who have been displaced by homelessness, disadvantaged by poverty, and hurt by disasters. On July 19 International Aid held a Hygiene Kit Packing event. Each kit that was packed will be distributed to a person in need out west here in our own country.
25,000 people have the opportunity to be impacted.
25,000 people will be shown the love of Jesus as their basic needs are met.
25,000 people will be able to get clean, brush their teeth and feel lifted.
We don’t ever have to sit on the sidelines. We can be the change and show the love of Jesus to our world. One step makes all the difference! After all, it is the little steps that create the journey. If all of us took just one step forward, how might the world change?
Those in poverty could be helped.
Those displaced and homelessness could be aided.
Those stricken by disaster could be encouraged.
Meeting someone’s basic needs can make all the difference in the world. Every single person impacted counts. Each one is part of the 25,000 we packed.
You can help impact lives. If you would like to get involved, and be the change, we will be holding packing events every quarter throughout the year. For more information about upcoming events contact: email@example.com or visit www.hygienekits.org.
