Valentine’s Day is coming up and with it lots of chocolate, pink, red, and white colors, and special times showing others we love them.
For those dating or married, this holiday is a fun one.
For those who may not be “in a relationship” it’s laughingly referred to as “single awareness day.”
But what if this year we approach Valentine’s Day just a little differently.
After all, showing love isn’t restricted only to those we love spending extra time with.
Mark your calendars, because February 21 is going to be our next Hygiene Kit Packing Event! We are excited for this event as it will give us an opportunity to show others the love of Jesus Christ.
Packing hygiene kits demonstrate love in so many ways.
As we put others first…
we portray the gospel.
What better way to celebrate this month of love than by serving others in need? There are so many who do not have basic needs. What a privilege to serve them!
As we pack essentials….
we are the hands of Jesus Christ.
We are the body of Christ, and literally using our hands to show His love to others goes a long way when it comes to impact. Imagine needing something as basic as a toothbrush, and receiving a bag full of items you need. In this we are the hands of Christ.
As we see suffering…
we see the heart of God.
It is a privilege to see what breaks God’s heart. When we see suffering, God gives us an opportunity to help relieve this suffering. He is a God of love. Packing hygiene kits for those who need them helps us not only see God’s heart for others, but also share his love.
We hope to see you February 21 at International Aid!
