“Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.” -Titus 3:14
I want to introduce you to a renowned surgeon-turned-missionary, joyfully ministering God’s love and healing to some of Africa’s neediest children. As you meet him you’ll come to really understand what love can make possible for children in desperate situations.
At International Aid we’re dedicated to providing urgently-needed medical and health resources to global partners serving people in need. For more than 30 years, we’ve had the joy of providing a wide range of crucial bio-medical equipment, much-needed medicines, vitamins and life-saving medical supplies to hospitals and clinics in many countries around the world.
There is a hospital in Kijabe, Kenya where children with disabilities are receiving life-transforming medical and surgical care. Dr. Tim Mead is one of many surgeons, called by God to medical missions, who changes lives of children and people all around the world with the instruments he receives from International Aid. Dr. Mead’s work is bringing hope and healing to children who are physically disabled.
Dr. Mead says, “The work of International Aid — equipping our hospital with much-needed medical supplies and equipment — allows me and my fellow physicians in the field to provide excellent care to children who are hurting. We consider the friends of IA an integral part of our healing team — bringing hope to many who have none, hope for this life and eternal.”
Dr. Mead will serve more than 8,000 Kenyan children and families this year alone. Please understand that the work of International Aid is more than machines, monitors, tubes, sensors, and medicines. At the heart of this ministry are the real-life stories of people served, lives impacted, futures transformed, children healed … and the heart-to-heart outreach empowered around the world, like Dr. Mead’s ministry in Kenya.
Dr. Mead traded a successful practice in the United States to work in Kenya. Every day, he touches young lives with a healing hand and the love of God. What a privilege it is to be a part of this work in Africa and beyond!
